Circumstances of disappearance

Sylvie was part of a group of handicapped children that was lodged in the country house La Rouveraie (Bevaix NE area). She left with another girl and a tutor on a walk in the forest. Sylvie was last seen on the way back, about 100 m from the country house. She walked 30 m ahead of the tutor and the girl. The teacher lost sight of Sylvie at a path turning, but thought that she had walked the rest of the way to the country house alone and didn't panic. As she noticed that Sylvie was missing, a search was launched immediately, but no trace of the child was found.
